THE TECH GODS ARE CRUEL.
I had much more fun things to post about before the internet in our apartment decided to fail the one day in recorded history that the library is closed. Because, you know, the problems with the dishwasher, the problems with the smoke alarm, and their office losing our files twice, plus the ridiculousness of the rent given the real estate in this city, is woefully inadequate punishment for our various and sundry sins.

Hence I am sitting behind the library beating my head against the school's highly-capricious wireless, under a tree, alternating too cold and too warm in this wretched hair-in-face wind, getting plant matter in my keyboard, burning through my battery life. XD

I clearly missed a ritual sacrifice to the tech gods.

Also, I'm really, really scared that another trojan has found my computer, because it's occasionally tossing ads at me, and McAffee was saying it had stopped at least three.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I REFUSE TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT BULLSHIT AGAIN ONLY THREE MONTHS LATER. XD

What the hell am I doing that I wasn't before? Downloading pictures? That's really the only thing I can think of. XD

Eh, at least I'll get some homework done tonight...

Also ALSO, I love writing questionable fanfiction in public places, which is what I was doing on the train today. XD

Time to put my Big Girl Panties on, go read all those reviews, and get yesterday's chapter of "Chocolate" up at the comm. O_o

**edit** Oh, my, there it is.

My dear, I think you might have an addiction. (Says the pot to the kettle.)

Ew, go away viruses! *runs at them with a bat*
Vitamin Ctierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:01 am (UTC)
..."might"? 8D

I SLEW THEM. It was an uphill battle. At least, I hope I slew them, and they're not just regrouping. XD
I MUSTsabriel75 on March 30th, 2009 02:04 am (UTC)
Damn... Crowley screwing with your CPU again...

You may need to call in Fathers Merrin and Karras, because the demon may be more hellish than originally thought.

Oh... read Chocolate already, earlier this evening. Matsuda rocks my world too :)

CHAMYL!: Hanabichamyl on March 30th, 2009 12:15 pm (UTC)
Hey Sabriel, now that I think about it, I have the book of Emily, your icon has reminded me XD

I paid it a ridiculous amount back then! If you like it I can scan it for you, it's only a few pages ^^ (though, uh, it's in italian, the art is still pretty! >_>)
Vitamin C: Matsudatierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:04 am (UTC)
Crowley would probably be more creative -- like rig it up so that the screen would go black and flash "YOU LOSE" in red letters.

Which I would appreciate for a moment before smashing my computer to little bits. XD

I called in Fathers Malwarebytes, avast!, and AVG, and there's lots of pea soup on the walls, but we're all alive. XD

I saw!! You always leave such wonderful reviews! ^____^

I feel your pain. My laptop is on her last legs as well.
(Legs? Well, it doesn't have any, but you get the idea.)
Vitamin C: L - Bewilderedtierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:06 am (UTC)
My laptop is mostly just extraordinarily ornery. And apparently has a big fat "WELCOME, VIRUSES" sign on its proverbial forehead. XD
Emma Daiouemmadaiou28 on March 30th, 2009 02:56 am (UTC)
*offers up some extra DLL files to sacrifice*

Using laptops outside is never a good thing. I was picking little sticky dots of pollen off my screen for a week after such a venture.

A lack of internet is a wonderful opportunity to blaze through your to-do list, though. Go forth, lass, and kick some homework butt!
Vitamin Ctierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:08 am (UTC)
Your contribution is appreciated! XD

My screen seems to have escaped largely unscathed, but I got a lot of pollen on me, and there are a few little leaves and flower-y bits under my keys. XD

I kicked a little, and then I gave up and just bummed around instead. I really suck at this. :P

They know you mean it fondly. 8D

GOD YES IT IS A PAIN. XD Agonizing pain of withdrawals and destruction. XD

And yay!! ^^

OOH! SACRIFICES! I actually had an entire Sacrifice dance in my old school, but only because I would always do my Art homework, which was always painting, a lesson before Art class, and then I'd have to stand under the air-con with my art block above head, just so that it would dry fast and not be suspicious, and it reminded me of a sacrificing position, so I'd be all "HO HO SACRIFICE!" and tribal chant. Yes, I am clearly insane.

Gerard looks like he's windblown tooo. xD

OMG, btw have you read the Forever, Now fanfic series about an AU? I don't even know why that sprang up, but it did. xD
Vitamin Ctierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:30 am (UTC)
lol, sacrifices for the win? XD

I like the image of you raising art to the Art/Air Conditioning Gods, though. :P

Who said anything about WINDblown?

...

NO, I have not. XD I... don't read nearly as much as I should, but I just promised eltea, who has been reccing me things right and left, that my first week of summer is going to be dedicated to reading fanfiction nonstop until I'm about to starve. :P
crazyboutremmycrazyboutremmy on April 1st, 2009 09:43 am (UTC)
Sacrifices are awesome. ROFL WINDBLOWN AHAHAHA I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE! 8D

Duuuuuude, bandom fic is the best type of fic. xD Well, next to Harry Potter, Chuck Merlin, Spn and... yeah, you get the idea! :D
Rexicequeenrex on March 30th, 2009 05:50 am (UTC)
Oh dear, plant matter, wind-in-face and the terror of failing internet! D: I shall offer my hairbrush to the tech gods in hope that they'll spare you, my dear and save you from this evilness. *nod nod* Ugh, I hate battery life. I hate the fact that it seems to run out at the speed the letters seem to hit the page XD Uh, why does everything constitute to writing with me?? XD I need a hobby. Preferably something that won't send my blood pressure shooting through the roof everytime something goes not to plan XD

*dances the robot*

ALSO, ALSO, I DIG QUESTIONABLE FANFICTION!!! 8D I WAS DOING IT LIKE...BEFORE I DECIDED TO CHECK MY INBOX...I'M IN SCHOOL BY THE WAY...AND MY NOT SO INNOCENT FIC IS LYING OUT HERE UNPROTECTED, OR RATHER EVERYONE ELSE'S EYES ARE UNPROTECTED FROM IT...AND...MAJOR ABUSE OF CAPSLOCK AND GRAMMAR....YEAH...8D

Okay, so my pinkie found the time to hit the capslock key but anyways I was getting odd looks from the dude next to me. <____< *grins* Ugh, I wish you better luck with your computer and I send much good juju and whatnot XD

I appreciate your help, darling! 8D

My battery is actually pretty l33t; it goes for like four and a half hours! :D But there are still times when I race its countdown. XD

Everything is about writing; that makes sense! XD

FRIGGING YAY FOR QUESTIONABLE FANFICTION I LOVE IT IT MAKES ME FEEL BRAVE AND DANGEROUS AND AWESOME. XD

I think the Caps Lock key is on my list of Five Greatest Things Ever. :P
Rex: DN - light + you just lost the gameicequeenrex on April 1st, 2009 09:13 am (UTC)

Well, when I'm only doing stuff on Word and the internet-sy spadazzle, using my battery, then it lasts around four to five hours. But...that's without listening to music XD

AND I KNOW ME TOO! AND IT MAKES ME LAUGH LIKE DR EVIL WHEN THE PERSON NEXT TO ME TRIES TO LOOK OVER AND SCOOTS FURTHER AWAY AGAIN! XD

And yes. Caps Lock is pretty damn fun! :D
Eltea: Rainboweltea on March 30th, 2009 08:36 am (UTC)
I have made you an icon for this situation. ♥

I’m not sure I like the way it turned out, but ah well; hopefully you’ll at least get a laugh out of it. XD I really need to get my writing done and go to bed…

Vitamin C: Misatierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:35 am (UTC)
I adore you. x3
JDlady_bracknell on March 30th, 2009 09:25 am (UTC)
Try Avast anti-virus. It's the best anti-virus software I've ever used - it runs constantly but unobtrusively and updates every single time you go online, and it's free for home users. The first thing I do when I get a new laptop is delete whatever anti-virus comes with and install that. It should catch whatever you've got and deal with it and then keep you safe in the future :).

That sucker was fantastically helpful; thanks so much! ^^
CHAMYL!: Do the damn laundry!chamyl on March 30th, 2009 12:13 pm (UTC)
Oh shit! I hope you get internet back and your pc is fine D:

The tech gods are kind of like Near, pouty and assholes! (...And this comes from someone who adores Near, why yes XD)

...That Gerard is quite terrifying XD
Vitamin C: Neartierfal on April 1st, 2009 04:39 am (UTC)
Things are going much better now; yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! 8D

I AGREE! XD And I agree about Near, despite loving him too. XD

I have some really horrifying ones. >3

Eugh, how lame. D: Mine mostly just fails when it'll piss me off the most; generally it doesn't pick a moment that's too difficult. :/

Ohman. That sounds amazing. XD

I had one last December that made me want to stab myself. XD I had to reinstall Windows and everything; it was terrible. XD This one isn't nearly as insidious. Wasn't. Since I fucking killed it. >D

It may someday be the name of my memoir. :P
