So there's that.
Damn it, my chocolate high just deserted me. I drift, Horatio.

I made a Hamlet joke in Theater 10 once, and nobody got it, and I was very sad. XD

eltea and I had a bitchin' time. I'm sure you're shocked. o_o

So... we played Wind Waker until our eyes bled until we got to the next major step, which we'll need more time to get through. And I cleaned up her room. And we argued over whether it was a "cesspit" (me XD) or a "pigsty" (her XD).

Umm... then we watched about a million years' worth of cast video diaries and making of things and whatnot on the "Merlin" DVDs, and it was wondrous. XD

I realized again, upon writing a bit of three completely different fics on the train on the way back, that probably much of the reason I haven't hit up a novel project in over a year -- and have become so irretrievably addicted to fanfiction -- is that I have the equivalent of artistic ADD. Short stories are my LIFE. They don't have to have plots; they don't even have to have substance; you can just pick up and go. And with fanfiction in particular, you don't have to set up any context, and dramatic irony is so easy it makes me cry with joy.

Not really.

But I love it.

Anyway... I really do intend to start another novel this summer; I think all my past ones are lost causes. We'll see. Part of my problem is that, for a self-proclaimed Character Person, I have a surprisingly difficult time making up new ones. Except when they're in brigits_flame pieces, I guess, but even then, Vincent's originally from January '08, and lately it's really just been Nick and Theo or Adam and Evan, who are now recurring, because I'm too lame to come up with new ones.

And I'm considering writing more about Micah, because he was a cute emo boy, and I have a very, very big weak spot for cute emo boys.

Speaking of Nick and Theo, though, I need to edit that shit like whoa.

I worked more on "Getting Away" on Friday, for the first time in months. And then it got all weird on me. Shit.

And sorry; I still refuse to tell you anything unambiguous about it. XD

Also got back to work on the Inevitability sequel. Happy panda!

Did I mention that everyone MUST see that movie? I saw it again at home last weekend, and it's frigging fantastic. Jesus. You will die laughing. XD

Umm... I'm binging on Matt/Near. It's weird. And by "binging on," I mean "writing." I really don't read much fic. Except what eltea recommends to me, which is mostly excellent Merlin porn fic nowadays.

Speaking of porn, I started writing smut to "Drive," finally. Now we'll just have to see if I can finish the effing thing. O hai, artistic ADD. XD But I realized a long time ago... like... the first time I wrote smut... and every time since... that the part I like is the foreplay. The sex part? Sure, it's great, and I love reading what other people do with it, ohyesplz. But it's the lead-up that interests me -- the emotional forces that intersect and intertwine and facilitate that collision. That's the part I like.

I've got seventeen days until summer, and if I can make it... well, I'd fucking better. XD I've got a pile of Real Books to read, a larger pile of fic recs, and so much to write. No. I'm serious. I'm going to have to get into the habit of, like, getting up in the mornings and just making myself write. Otherwise the quasi-Tempest-crossover, Light-with-really-big-guns, Mello-is-literally-not-just-figuratively-a-whore, zombies-everywhere AU will never get written, and that would be a fucking TRAGEDY, friends. :|

Umm, okay, I'll stfu and leave you alone now. XD

Pigsty or cesspit? Eek... either one sounds fantastically uncleanly. However, I tend to think pigsty might work better in this context. *sorry*

Artistic ADD. Maybe that's my problem too ;) Focusing on one project and taking it to completion before starting another completely unrelated project... well it just seems to happen to me all the time.

Kung Fu Panda was okay... I'm not certain that I could say it made me laugh like you mention. Bolt entertained me more. Rhino Rocks!

Original characters require much more love and effort than fanfictional characters since well, they've already been given life by their creator. Does make setting up any story much easier, does it not? Especially when your reader is already familiar with their personalities.

Good Luck! Sounds like you could use some with all that you have in the way of school, writing and plotting.

Hahaha, fair enough! XD I was being a bit excessive to start with, so...! XD

Exactly! XD I love starting things; it's the middles and ends that I can't handle. XD

Ooh, I'll have to see about "Bolt." It looked pretty cute, but I didn't have a chance to see it. ^^

Indeed! I love being able to jump right into the good stuff in fics. Ahhh, the perils of writing. XD

Thank you! :D
