Theengs

Which is like "things," but pronounced with the long e.  THEEEEEENGS.  See, you've got it.

There's all this caution tape and crap on the street right by my dorm.  Buncha cops and rubberneckers and whatnot.  I couldn't tell what was going on and had to take an immense detour.  I wonder what's up.  Or what went down, more likely.  Hmm.  We periodically get the news trucks and helicopters and things.  Guess it's not much of a surprise.

Anyhoo, it's stupidly gorgeous today.  Bright sun, cloudless blue sky, etcetera.  Much too warm when you're walking around in the sun (admittedly, in the case of the highly-intelligent Tierfal, wearing jeans and a black tee shirt), but very pleasant in the shade.  I done took pictures.

I walked down to the office-place to turn in my housing check, because they charge you fifty cents if you do it online, and we refuse to feed their greed that way on principle, mandating a small trek down to the little office.  That would be my family in a nutshell.  XD  Anyway, since eltea had class and then rehearsal, and since I was tired of my roommate regardless, I decided to go sit somewhere nice and write stuff.  And I did.  For like two hours.

The place I ended up selecting was the Memorial Pool thingy right off of the hill in front of the library, since said hill was blanketed in people already and the pool was much quieter.

There you can see the bell-tower and that cloudless blue sky I was talkin' about.  California, darling, it's not technically summer until mid-June.

There's half of the pool, more of the Frisbee folks, and a nice shot of the hideous math building where my astronomy section was held.

I made sure to bring all my essentials. :)

If you haven't experienced the wonder of Starburst Jelly Beans, beware.  They are a highly addictive substance. O_O

I wrote a very unusual piece yesterday, centered around a nameless soldier with severe Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.  It was drastically different from anything I've ever done -- or at least, it felt like it.  It's on deviantART again, and mature-alized for gore, so account-less people can't see it, I'm afraid.  The recipe was My Chemical Romance + a pinch of each Ceremony and Mrs. Dalloway + a base of "An American Werewolf in London."

No, I'm not high.

Really.

No, I'm serious.

I was working on more Sam and Adrian sitting by the pool, so hopefully I can throw that at you guys soon.  And the bit about them that I wrote over the weekend and finished yesterday, which is perfectly ready to be posted but for the fact that its length makes me all lazy about editing it. :P
