no emo wut?
I was honestly going to sit here, at three o'clock this morning, after having pounded out a surprisingly not-that-atrocious French essay, and write you all a FAT emo post.  I was, my roommate's sleeping through the night be damned.

Then MiaoShou ruined my sulk by replying to some of my "Only You" reviews and hitting up "The Margins."  Boy is.  Too cute.  To live.  It's absolutely criminal.

I don't think I've extolled the wonders of my headphones to you lovelies before.  This is what they look like.  My stepmom got them for me for Christmas two years ago, and at first I was leery of them, because they function like earplugs -- you can't hear anything except the music, and that loudly and clearly.  I was quite reasonably concerned I'd get run over, the way I walk around -- like I've got the RIGHT OF WAY or something.  *glares in general direction of nearest motorists*

Eventually my cheap headphones broke, and I realized how AMAZING these are, precisely because they block everything else out.  It's fantastic for concentrating on stuff, and the real benefit is that no one else can hear what I'm hearing.  So I can saunter along at nine-thirty this morning listening to "Lollipop (Candyman)" by Aqua at a volume damaging to my eardrums, and no one is the wiser.

I have a thing for awful music.  I love it.

...categorizing T.A.T.U. as rock is a little bit creative, but whatever.

And if you haven't checked out "Bad Boy," you must.  It will change your life in a small but significant way.

It's funny about "I Kissed a Girl" -- I'd caught wind of the vague, halfhearted sort of controversy/interest about it, but I didn't actually hear it until that wedding a few weeks ago.  At which point I was quite predictably like, "HOT DAMN, this is WIN!"  I love that she presents it almost as a challenge, like, "Yeah, I kissed a girl -- and I liked it.  Whatcha gonna do, huh?"  The video enforces that even more adamantly, which I hadn't realized until... four minutes ago when I started watching it. :P

Anyway.  Today decided to be unexpectedly good.  Weird.  Doesn't hurt that I'm back at it on "The End Is Near," and I'm about to get to the club scene.  Yeah.  There's a club scene.  It'll probably go on forever, becuase I'm not (...too) ashamed to admit that I'm a sucker for that crap. 8D  It's actually sorta pivotal, though, 'cause some of the drama combusts.  DRAMA.  YEAH.

Now I'm just spewing words; I'll go now.  You can probably expect a full-blown emo post later, when studying for my midterm, a pointless exercise for my seminar, and a shitload of history reading plus assignment eradicates the remnants of the crack. XD

Awful music makes the world a better place. Particularly when you know just how awful it is. :P

GOd, I am writing so much. XD TEIN will be explosive when I finally finish it. For once, there's no "if," because (a) there's too much at stake; (b) I love it too much; (c) it's coming along well; (d) it's got an eltea plot that needs to get concluded!; and (e) it has so much momentum to stop now, unless it hits an object of similar mass moving at a similar speed. Which limits us to... THE MOON. XD

I hope that utterly pointless rambling episode was enlightening; I think I just like to talk about myself. XD

Heeee. I love how much I didn't appreciate "Barbie Girl" at the time. I mean... the innuendos! The vicious synthesizer hook! What ARTISTRY! 8D
