The This and That Update
The Writer's Block is your top ten albums.  I can't list them in order, per se, but I'll give you the ones that changed my LIFE.  :D

1. The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance - because being in love with every. single. song on an album and listening to nothing else for an entire month is somewhat singular...
2. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance - because... well, BECAUSE.
3. Crimes of Passion - Pat Benatar - when I was in the fourth grade, my dad played the record on his phonograph, and I realized that you could actually love specific music for specific reasons.  And that you could worship somebody's voice like crazy. XD
4. Saturate - Breaking Benjamin - the first album I truly fell in love with.  My dad probably knows every word to all the songs from all the times I played it in the car.  Also the first band my brother and I completely came together on.
5. Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park - and so began the saga of rock-loving!Tierfal...
6. Sing the Sorrow - A.F.I. - Davey Havok might be God.  It's hard to prove anything either way.
7. DecemberUnderground - A.F.I. - further proof for my theological theories.  Another one of those very rare albums where every single song rocks my world.
8. Birds of Pray - Live - warm and brilliant.  Something clicked.  Also, 'Like I Do' is permanently eltea's and mine.
9. Mad Season - Matchbox Twenty - Yourself or Someone Like You is right up there, too.  God damn, Rob Thomas is sexy.
10. One-X - Three Days Grace - And their self-titled debut, too.  Look at me cheat! :D

Honorable Mentions:
Away from the Sun - Three Doors Down - because... I love it?
The Phantom of the Opera - 1986 Broadway Cast Recording - as in, Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford.  Oh, snap.
Everything System of a Down - seriously.  And oh, GOD, have you heard their cover of "The Metro" by Berlin?  Made my LIFE.
All Killer, No Filler - Sum 41 - in the Hybrid Theory category of things - that is, highly formative for the Tierfal of Today. XD
Just What I Needed: The Cars Anthology - The Cars - so addictive.  So addictive.  So addictive.

...believe it or not, that wasn't what I was going to post about, but then chococoffeekiss's answers got me to thinking, and... whoops. :P

I bought a scarf and four pairs of socks at the Gap today.  They cost me almost as much as the new jacket I bought at Old Navy.  So much moneeeeey. DX  Though I had a Gap gift card.  And I'm wearing my new scarf RIGHT NOW. x3  I love winter clothes, scarves in particular. XD

I need to get writing.  baronanriel and my bad self seem to be planning to go on, like, an ACTUAL date tonight, and I'm still behind in the Realm of NaNo.  I've been intending to do another Dramione Christmas fic -- though, sadly, nothing I could write would top the bizarrely amusing wonders of "Christmas Spirit."  Ever. XD  I mean, Pansy Parkinson's homicidal Christmas decorations are sort of a one-of-a-kind inspirational phenomenon, you know? :P

You may be able to expect some update spam later today.  We shall see. :D

Gotta love MCR. Three Cheers is my favy.

Breaking Benjamin- have all three albums and saw them in concert with my own lil' bro. It was incredible.
(that's the only band we agree about, too! WEIRD)

Matchbox Twenty! OMG, I love both of those albums. And yes, Rob Thomas is a god among men.

....I must read this 'Christmas Spirit'....
Homicidal decor? my interest is piqued.

I'm such an MCR fangirl. Only not the creepy kind. I hope.

'Saturate' made my life. My LIFE. 'Phobia' wasn't too shabby either. And the So Cold EP. Five dollars for two new songs and so worth it. XD ...maybe I do need help. D:

I am in love with Rob Thomas's voice. *swoon*

This is it. 8D It's Draco/Hermione, but (I hope) it's a lot of fun. XD

I have a wish to both never spend money again and have new and shiny things. I think they might contradict one another...

Ooh, an actual date! That's exciting.

Yes, you do have quite a bit more than ten up there, you know ;) However, must agree with some choices that totally rock my world too. Rob Thomas, indeed inspirational. Linkin Park. Oh Linkin Park must be one of my first loves. And darn it, if you don't have Three Days Grace too.

Wonderful Choices. Now must go listen and get out of this funk I find myself presently immersed in.

One of my favorite things about being an English major is that I can claim an inability to count...

I love Three Days Grace. Such melodious Angry Music. x)

Hope the funk goes away!! :(

How funny. XD Though I must admit I do a fair amount of mooching from my parents on occasion. :D And my early musical taste was developed by my brother going around pointing at things and going, "That's good, because my friends listen to it." XD
