So I took my Shakespeare final today.

After having started studying at, uh, eight forty-five-or-so this morning.

It actually wasn't that bad. I think. I feel like I said a lot of interesting things and came up with stuff that hadn't been talked about -- though that might not be particularly helpful, given that they were much more enthusiastic about the shameless term-dropping I did on the second midterm than they were with the creative ideas I implemented on the first.

That would be school in a nutshell, right? XD

Anyway, I should've proofread, and usually do on finals, but after two hours and forty-five minutes of writing pretty much nonstop... I just turned the damn thing in. XD I MEAN SERIOUSLY. XD Four essays laaaateeer... XD

I got a great deal of ink on my fingers, too; it was ballpoint carnage. XD

So now I just have to survive the French final -- though I don't know where it is; I emailed my teacher... -- and then write that damn paper for history. Damn paper. Rarrrr.

And then as soon as I'm done, I can gtfo and go the hell home for a month. SWEET VICTORY. ...until I have to come back and do this all over again next semester. ;___;

So yeah, I hope that was enlightening. XD

I've been shirking my happiness meme duties something atrocious, so lessee... Yesterday, eltea made me happy, because she always does. XD Ditto today. :P Also, YOU GUYS persistently make me happy, 'cause... you're just awesomesauce squared, no yoke. 8D And my jacket and my scarf made me happy today, because it was damn cold in the room we had to take that final in, and colder still outside. XD

Everybody with snow is all, *NOT IMPRESSED*. :P

I also discovered today that the myriad trees that make the campus so beautiful are not quite as pleasant when they are dripping water on your head. XD

Aaaaandd... so there was this one line in Twilight that put me off many moons ago, which I randomly encountered and then memorized: "His stunning face was unexpectedly vulnerable." And eltea and I were loling about it again via Death Note last night at about eleven, and for some reason I decided to play with it, because... I are me. :P

"Matt's eyes went from yeah-uh-huh to no behind the curtain of his eyelids, changed when he'd blinked. Stunned and stunning -- that was a nutshell if Mello had ever seen one. Nutcases; nutshells -- such was the business.

It was the vulnerability that scared him. Matt wasn't supposed to be afraid."

Now, that would make for a much longer book, of course, if the trend kept up, but... yeah, just wanted to share for no good reason. XD

I had a similar experience when reading The Picture of Dorian Grey. I say that "he had a finely chiseled nostril" is worse. D:

I don't think I'd have proofread either. :|

I read that book in the ninth grade, so I probably just didn't notice then. And I was mostly just trying to get it done so I could write my reading log; I don't think I got into it until the end. XD

I was just like I AM LEAVING and left. XD

I was trying to read it out-loud with my sisters, but we just kept cracking up, and so we never finished.

Yeah, I like learning fine, but I hate memorizing what the teacher wants to hear and spitting it back at them. That's the part that drives me crazy. XD

Yes, "finals" = "exams," lol. Separated by a common language... XD And ours, at least at this school, tend to be three hours, so there's an 8-11 block, a 12:30-3:30 block, and a 5-8 block. And having two finals -- er, exams XD -- in one day is basically tantamount to DEATH. XD

lol, THNX, BB! 8D No, I really mean that; Stephenie Meyer's prose gives me a great deal of hope. XD

I was very sad in fifth grade when a couple kids could do it and I couldn't, and I started practicing intently and actually now have a bit of muscle control on the left eyebrow. So it is not a lost cause! XD

AP exams ("Advanced Placement" classes, which you take in high school around here, which can give you college credit if you do well enough) were three hours, too, so I guess I was conditioned to the madness starting in my junior year. XD

I've only once had two in one day, though it WAS pretty miserable, 'cause it was one English test at 8 and the next at 12:30. XD I actually forgot to do a little part of the second one, which sucked, 'cause I could've had an A instead of an A- in that class, which would've been useful, since they count them differently in the GPA system. -________-

/rant-anecdote XD

The icon distracted me the second I saw it at the top of the email, so you succeeded, lol! XD

...I'm still mesmerized... XD

Hee! Yeah, I tried to figure out an explanation and then gave up in favor of squirming with glee. 8D Maybe Near borrowed Calvin's Transmogrifier from Calvin and Hobbes...

I hope you guys have heard of Calvin and Hobbes; it was the best comic strip that ever was and ever will be. XD

Aaaannnd... lol, your brother. XD Hee!

I am very glad to hear this. 8D C&H was an important part of my childhood despite the fact that I didn't really get it until a good while later. XD

Finals are EVIL!!!! I'm glad you're almost done though. Our finals are three hours too, so I completely understand why you just turned the damn thing in. Mary only has two hour finals. I was like, "NO FAIR!!!!" when she told me. But yeah, anyway, enough of that.

Ha, ha, you and Eltea make me laugh. : ) I must say, I really like this: "Matt's eyes went from yeah-uh-huh to no behind the curtain of his eyelids, changed when he'd blinked. Stunned and stunning -- that was a nutshell if Mello had ever seen one. Nutcases; nutshells -- such was the business.

It was the vulnerability that scared him. Matt wasn't supposed to be afraid." So beautiful. I desperately want to read the rest of the fic this is attached to! :P

Yeah, unsurprisingly, my brother's are like that, too. XD /duh XD

Yay! ^^' I had fun, lol. XD And while that won't really be going anywhere on its own, there should be a ton of Matt/Mello-y goodness on the way for Christmas. You know, presuming that I get my damn act together. XD

Any Matt/Mello is fine by me! :P I can't wait!
